A Bomber Task Force deployment of B-52 Stratofortress aircraft arrived into RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, bringing with it airmen and support equipment from the 307th Bomb Wing, and 2nd Bomb Wing based at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.

The jets are in the UK to support Ample Strike 18, a Czech-led exercise involving 19 NATO allies and partners.  While here the aircraft will conduct theatre integration and flying training, the deployment of the aircraft to the UK is designed to help exercise RAF Fairford as a USAFE forward operating location for bombers.

Training will also be conducted with joint partners and allied nations, along with other USAF units to ensure a strategic relationship to confront a broad range of global challenges.
